YANA is a voluntary peer support group for people with depression. We’re run by non professionals, but by people with many years of personal experience with depression, postnatal depression and anxiety.
YANA offers:
- Mutual support and encouragement
- Self-help advice
- The opportunity to make friends
- To maintain the confidentiality of our members
- To help overcome the isolation felt by many people with depression
- To help break the stigma and discrimination attached to the illness
- To try to meet the needs of sufferers not covered by health professionals
- A safe haven to be able to share thoughts and experiences with people who understand and will not judge you
- To neither give medical advice nor endorse any medical treatment as we are not qualified to do so.
